Ready to pull the country by the ears this Team of 3 rappers, an r&b singer, and show Dj say they ready to do what has been said cant, from Boston Artist… make it to the top in 1 piece and stay there, till death do them part… Drop That Track Caught up with Suits The RoleModel of DCFAM and what he had to say summed up in one word was… SUEDE!!!

DTT: Whats up Suits??

Suits: Coolin man glad we could get up

DTT: So who or what is DCFAM???

Suits: DCFAM is my Team, 3rddy Baby, K Street, Renzo, Lex Luther, and of Course myself Suits The RoleModel were just Solo Artist that loved each others styles and music. Common sense led us to work together have been doing so ever since. Were not a group more like DCFAM is our umbrella covering us from bullshit and Hate that stems from wanting to be more than average better than great. We trust each other and are honest open individuals those hard to come across so we stick to our circle.

DTT: So more like a team or a support system than a boy band or group.

Suits: yea more Dipset than B2K

DTT: What does DCFAM stand for ??

Suits: Well DC stand for “Dark Cloud” that was the name of our Group when we were in high school and shit 1st starting out 3rddy, K Street, and Suits, took it from the gang in the movie Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon lol movie was dope… got older started doing more shit added niggas didn’t really feel like calling the team Dark Cloud with new members so we added F.A.M an acronym that stands for (F.amily A.nd M.oney)… The only things that matter in the world, at least to us so it fit with what we were about and what our music was growing into. there u have it DC F.A.M

DTT: What separates DC F.A.M from everything thats out now??

Suits: Shit you tell me? naw Im playin, but i think we stand out cause its real, we weren’t put together by a label or a manager our style is authentic not afraid of R&B, Pop, Rock, Lyrical Rap, Strip Club shit, Girl shit… Im from Somerville, Ma… Ive never been afraid to be myself my niggas feel the same. It allows us to create dope music that stems from real emotions. Our personalities compliment each other. at the end of the day theres a lot of bull shit on the radio and TV you can tell some of these artists either have friends in high places or are playing industry puppet on a string. So far DCF.A.M is the only thing pushin us and our music is being well received by the public and we truly appreciate the support…. support from ppl like the great folks at Drop That Track!! y’all are doing ur thing i love this site.

DTT: Since the Days of Benzino Boston has sorta been under the radar on a national level why do u think that is?

Suits: 1st off shouts to the big homie EDO G, not under the radar at all theres a lot of talent out of this area a lot of people have gotten opportunities its just they don’t open the door for the next artist to follow up so when they don’t make it to a real mainstream level or lose momentum the cycle has to start over. Boston Artist gotta respect and support Boston artist just like NY did CALI, ATL and all em down south cities did… and it’s not just the artist it’s the DJs and the Fans too we all gotta play our part in putting Boston out there. Right now is perfect timing for niggas like us to be coming out i just say lead by example we cant complain niggas aint fuckin with us if we don’t make ourselves accessible to others doin the same shit. No egos in DC FAM we just push good music. Shout out to Whisperz, Masspike Miles, Dukati Gang, Lou ArmStrong, Dj Pup Dawg, Dj Chubby Chub, Clinton Sparks, Dru Nyce, Mighty Mystic, they rep the City well.

DTT: What artist do u listen too??

Suits: listen too and feel are two different things I listen to a lot of stuff, all types of genres i take inspiration from everywhere, but whose music am i feeling right now? Always the greats u already know the 3 Big, Pac Jay in that order… I fuck wit the Lox, NAS, Fab, Wayne, Ross, Eminem, Robin Thicke, Anthony Hamilton, Maxwell, DCFAM… make me a mix with them on it ill ride out with my worst enemy and still feel good bout the trip lol

What can we expect from DCFAM??

Suits: Same thing u expect from the Bruins, Patriots, Celtics, Red Sox, or even Matt Damon… Excellence, Hardwork, Teamwork and Production… 3rddy Babys 1st Single Featuring Renzo “Im On fire… Beam Me Up” is Killing the radio right now cross Country, the Video is on Youtube over 150,000 views

Im personally Releasing a record with 3rddy next called “Crook” shot the video in Detroit got Calvin Johnson and Gosder Cherilus of the Detroit Lions in it made a Mini Movie… directed by myself, shot and edited by Jon Wolf. Real excited bout that. My solo single Suede is after that and coming soon! Suits: when somethings swaged out… its Suede. A new outfit, a bad bitch, hitting the buzzer beater in OT… Suede. My music everything about Suits the RoleModel is Suede. I hated when people would say shit like Suits i like ur “swag” or Suits has swag… I appreciate the compliment but i hate the word, so i invented my own version, “Suits is as strong as leather but Im smooth too you know… SUEDE”

Suits: Shot it during Memorial Weekend 2011 funny thing was we didn’t have a video in mind when we went out there my Dj and TeamTitans Dj Lex Luther linked up with Lloyds and TeamTitan Dj… Dj Keilo For Spring Fest I had a show at the Ice Palace with Rozay Ent. while at the airport goin thru our schedule like yo this weekend is gonna be Suede Lex And I were thinking it just made sense to shoot a video.. so the perfect song came to mind SUEDE flew out my Videographer Ju SanTana next day rest was history SUEDE out in August.
